Africa, here I come!!!

Whhhhhooooohhhhhheeeeeeewwwwwwwww!!!

I have permission from World Harvest Mission to buy my plane ticket! I'll probably be leaving at the end of September or early October to return to Uganda!

I'll be in Uganda for three to four months, and then I will join the team in southern Sudan. My heart yearns to return to Africa. I long to see friends and hug all the local kids that encouraged me on prior journeys.
I'm starting to dream more about Africa, though not all the dreams are good ones. Last night I dreamt about snakes, one of my not-so-pleasant memories of Uganda. Despite my fears, and fewer they are becoming, God has continually encouraged me on this journey and confirmed my calling to long-term mission work. He is an overwhelmingly gracious God, and his truth, freedom, and love have continued to pour over me. Thank you, Lord.

I still need to raise $250 in monthly support to be fully funded, whether that be ten more people at $25 a month, or one donor at $250 a month! I continue to trust that God will lead me to the people that he has ordained to be part of my support team, as he has already provided in mysterious and miraculous ways. I would also love to recruit more prayer supporters, especially churches.

God's provisions never cease to astound me. As I continue to say good bye to family and friends, there is a paradox within me. I want to say "good" good byes to everyone in the United States, and yet look forward to new relationships forming when I arrive in Uganda. I want to fully and completely mourn the loss or change of relationships with family and friends, but I also don't want to lose the joy that I have when I think about returning to Africa.

Thank you for following me on this journey!
